In his quest for strength, knowledge, understanding and comfort, humankind has attributed the title of God to a variety of images, creatures, inanimate objects and the occasional person. Initially his purpose was to engage his environment; identify it and associate with it. This inclination developed into awe and respect as ‘ he ‘ came to realize his minute part in it all. Fireside tales and old timer yarns embellished what knowledge there was and the fears of the day were somehow assuaged by the comfortable notion of a higher being who was watching over the happenings on earth. During times of special need humanity found itself entreating the God’s for guidance, strength, or most audaciously; miracles.
Without too much ado, the peoples of the earth slipped into the convenient sanctuary of God’s nest, and found themselves placing inordinate authority over their internal struggles and daily toils by rushing to God for answers at every juncture.
Through whatever means of devotional acts, the devout were spending large amounts of time worshipping and praising their God’s, and in return they hoped for answers, blessings, understanding and forgiveness.
The custom took hold with such vehement force that the religions of today have become not only major spiritual enclaves, but also considerable head count centers, wealth caches, political bases and warring resources.
What the God seeker has failed to notice in the fray of devotion is that they have become slaves to their habits.
In a moment of need, the needy person has sought counsel with an essence outside of him / herself. Considering that before too much of mankind’s history had accumulated this outside source was turned into THE main avenue for solace and inspiration, it comes as no surprise that it’s appeal and multi-use function became universal and automatic.
With little or no effort, the peoples of the earth were chanting,
“Oh God, ….” this and,
“Oh God……” that and,
“Oh God please…” this, and
“Oh God I beg you…..” that,
and before too long it became,
“Let me go check with God and I’ll get back to you “or
“I don’t know, let me go ask God “
Just ask yourself now, as a little test, what’s the first thing that pops into your mind when something serious befalls you ?
I’ll bet it’s,
“God Please Help Me “
In their misguided devotion, they had given up their ability to think for themselves,
And THERE is the seed of our present day flock; the unthinking masses, the unconscious throng; devotional slaves and sheeple of nations.
Now it isn’t necessarily a bad thing to have a Godlike resource for inspiration and guidance, nor is it unwise or unhealthy. It is the addiction that causes the problem.
It’s entirely understandable how the lost and petrified of days gone by have run to their respective churches for healing and during times when individuality was barely known, it’s no surprise that the power and majesty of the great God / Church became dominant in society as well as in each persons mind. It is apparently a natural experience for the novice to attribute all seeing, all knowing power to a source on high. It’s a comfort and a convenience which leads the frail soul to a place of rest. The habit of seeking perpetual alignment to ‘ God’s Will ‘ is well known, and has remained so contemporary throughout mankind’s existence that it has even appeared on the currency of our land. The common knowledge element of God, religion, and church is so deeply ingrained within us and our culture that there are entire profiles of civilization who are born into and die out of, religion as life. God, it would seem, is a very popular guy.
In some parts of town the local drug dealer is equally popular, and equally sought after for the goods which are equally required to sustain the lives of the followers.
Be it God, or drugs; the addiction is the same, and so is the cure.
When a person gives up there seniority for a religion guru, he / she gives up free will, and free thought. Just like a drug addict.
The ability to think for ones self is a learned talent that comes with experience,
but the frail and insecure of old have given up their rights to freedom in exchange for the comforting cloak of devotion, and they are as hooked as any junkie.
When a person gives up his right to free thought ‘he’ becomes a slave to the powers that ‘he’ is aspiring to, and ‘he’ loses, or never learns the ability to think for ‘himself’.
The answers that ‘he’ seeks must always be sought through well worn paths of prayer down at the local church. The more adept answer seeker may develop the ability to procure Godly divination within the confines of ‘his’ house or car, but the common practice is to go to the house of worship for the real deal.
This practice is so ingrained within our global community that few ever stop to examine just what it is they’re doing.
Having given up seniority in their space, the devoted followers of the various faiths, must continue with the program or face the certain hell that awaits them. The perpetual fear of reprisal on one hand and the constant addiction on the other, coupled to the automatic nature of the universal acceptance, and the daily promotion of same, has created a game which is as brilliant and compelling as any ever conceived.
The power of this game can easily be seen by the grandeur of histories churches and the obvious mountains of money that their construction would have required. Sure they employed a lot of craftsmen and labourers, and sure the church has promoted the artist’s of the day as the largest single patron of all of history with the statuary, stone masonry and paintings which adorn the temples of worship, but these objects of devotion were extracted from the sweat and blood of the suffering masses during times when life was a mere adjunct to death. The obscene amounts of booty that the church bled from the pious slaves was only surpassed by the pillaging of the monarchs at the head of state, excepting the times when they were one and the same.
When we go to
The sense of antiquity and time becomes more apparent when perusing the majesty of a French Cathedral, or a Roman arena, or a Greek temple, and we have the opportunity to look back into ourselves and possibly recover some of the energies that may still be entwined in our subtle memory.
Some of you may recall this feeling. That deja vue of time and the subtle remembrance of having been there before. The veiled window in the back of your consciousness through which views of a deeper self can be sensed.
Some go for the tourist attraction, and stay for the rejuvenation; though the latter may remain unconscious, the feeling is remembered. Many of us have spent hundreds of hours reciting our pleads to God within some of the cathedrals, and some of us may become fearful and uncomfortable around ruins of Roman arenas, but the grandeur and oldness still remains and the sense of cultural meaning is more apparent when surrounded by the locations from our past. Nothing illustrates this power better than the massive edifices erected by the various churches from the faithful tears and lives of the tricked followers of the various faiths.
The poor people from history have carried the burden of their religion on their backs till their backs broke under the weight, and the burdens passed to the next of kin.
An idea which began as a source of strength through hard times became the bearer of all of their fears dressed in the sheeps clothing of devotional salvation, and by regeneration has remained equally addictive and equally unscrupulous.
The cries from the gilded pulpits propped within the multi-billion dollar temples are for donations from the weary and enslaved in order to procure their own salvation.
Charity for the sick and infirmed does NOT start at the church at all!
If it did, they’d sell off their megalithic structures and BE all that they profess and expect their sheep to be. The hoarded wealth of combined churches alone would feed the entire planet and heal all of the sickness for the next 100 years.
The atrocious dichotomy of lies that these messengers of God are espousing is no better illustrated than by watching the honourably religious with holes in their shoes putting too much into the donation plate as it passes them in their communion with their peers, or the disgusting circus of riches and gluttony that the Pope exacts flagrantly and shamelessly in the face of his peasantry.
The innocent and trusting have been hooked on the worst drug of all; the pretense of salvation from themselves, and the payoff for their commitment is the drug like high that the guru beings intoxicate their devotees with to keep them hooked.
What devotees you may ask ?
Consider the wars based upon religious righteousness.
Can you see the absurd hypocrisy of Christian soldiers ??
Consider the Jehova’s Witness who is unable to say ANYTHING that isn’t a quote from some scripture or other.
Or a born again who suffers the same mindlessness by doing the same thing:- spouting a litany of phrases or paraphrases from an old text that nobody can understand anyway anytime there’s an opening.
Or a
Or a gang of KKK thugs burning down a church of different ilk.
Or a suicide bomber; be he an Irish Protestant, or Kamikaze or Jihadist .
These are a few of the sick people that justify a personal criminal tendency by aligning it to a popularly accepted contemporary facilitator and pass it off acceptable.
One can only imagine the billions of people who go through their entire lives as religious clones, lost in some sea of religious quotations, floundering in their shared quagmire of blind enslavement repeating their mind numbing mantras, incessantly brainwashing themselves for an old program that was put into place by manipulators for the very purpose they actualize.
The reality of this enchanted clan is a known and calculated political entity in the
The staunch unswerving mass of these religious devotees represents an undying commitment to unyielding dogma and encompass a virtual third of continental land mass while born again Christians represent over 40% of the U.S. population, with another 7% being evangelical, while nationwide nearly 80% consider themselves Christian with enclaves of pious positioned in various states outside of the aforementioned Bible belt such as in the mountain states of Mormon territories or the Lutheran areas of the Midwest. Curiously enough though, the greatest incidence of obesity among adults is in the Bible belt region of the south, which may suggest a continuing dissatisfaction within, which despite vehement adhesion to religiosity, still leads these zealots to gluttony as an alternative to the happiness which is not found in their Bible clutching.
In any case all this religion doesn’t mean that these people are adhering to the laws of their respective churches at all. It means that when it comes to obstinance and cultural pigheadedness these are the regions where the obstacles of reality come face to face with the dogma of religious fanaticism and fantasy, and where topics like Global Warming are more likely to be sloughed off as ‘ God’s Will’.
There’s only one thing more vehement than a man’s ego and that’s his religious pretense.
For all the touting and blustering of scripture quoting zealots, the actual adhesion and compliance to the tenets is relatively low, with divorce among Baptist’s; the Catholic figureheads, being equal to or even greater than the national average of 50+%. It’s no surprise though, because the religions of the contemporary western church going believer weren’t made FOR mankind, they were made BY mankind, and are as fraught with deceit and misrepresentation as mankind himself.
You may likely get away with insulting a man as being a mere idiot, but you will not get away with calling him a born again idiot, or a Baptist idiot.
He may be a drunken fool, but don’t call him a drunken Bible bashing fool.
The problems involved with communicating rational thoughts with religious devotees are as tedious as talking to a drunk person, especially if it’s a ‘God drunk’ person.
When a person gives up free thought capabilities for the tried and true doctrine of their forefathers, you have a conveniently controlled group of citizens who will do whatever the church says.
That was especially useful during medieval days in
Political control of the people was decreed by the tenets of the church, and anarchy just had NO place to grab hold. Likewise was there little room for free thought, individuality or exploration.
These days however, during times when freedom of speech and thought are bragged about as foundations for an entire civilization, the tired old religions are as out of place as a Zoot suit at a beach party.
The huge numbers of people who still espouse the dogmas of antique religious views are challenged to pursue modern life using antique thought forms, and yet be fair and reasonable using a set of parameters designed for an entirely different purpose.
The concepts for life contained within the ‘Old Testament ‘ are as worthy as they ever were, though their actual source is up for grabs, the values which can be extracted and exacted are honourable and useful enough, but unfortunately the energy is outdated some 5000 years. They are also incredibly difficult to interpret, even after being re-written into English.
The ‘New Testament’ follows suit, and the entire collection of books which has been so neatly compiled into it’s present form as the Bible, is still, at best; after being translated a couple of times, a difficult and arduous piece of literature for easy, clear application.
This tedium has served as another device for conjecture and manipulation by the Church, and the continued collection of devout within the confines of the ongoing group agreement continues to mold the receptive hungry souls into the form which it has maintained since pollution took control.
In English now.
When you feed an old line of nonsense to a new line of kids, they become filled with old nonsense. That places them at a distinct disadvantage and hooks them ir-retractably to the old line of nonsense, and handicaps their ability to deal in the here and now, and to find current day answers for current day problems using the outdated format.
It also teaches them to look outside of themselves for their answers.
With that you breed a generation of kids who don’t have any communication with themselves, and who follow whatever anyone puts into their brains.
That brings us back to the stolen mail.
As conscious human entities on this planet we are entitled to our own energy and information free and clear of middle men.
With the first spark of interest in them, the religions, which are headed by guru spirits, steal our own personal energy and information, and sell us back their own brand with built in limitations, to prevent us from accessing our energy ourselves. Upon payment of devotional tithing we are given enough information to keep us going but not enough to set us free.
Know who’s stealing your mail now ?
Your church.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Peace Out,
Radical Priest,
Reverend Michael Valentine Goldsun
